I appreciate seeing companies that advertise “Proud to be Locally Owned and Operated”. Businesses like that usually have a local founder who created and pioneered the company.
God knew we would have need for salvation and He sent a pioneer, a founder to bring us all into glory.
Hebrews 2:10 For it was fitting that He, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering. (ESV)
The Greek word for founder is “archegos”, and it means; a chief leader, author, captain, or prince.
Jesus is the chief leader, author, captain, prince, and founder of our salvation.
Here are some thoughts about The Founder:
All things exist by Jesus, which means He and the Father God worked together during creation.
It was fitting that Jesus who was a part of the creation of mankind, also have a part in the salvation of mankind.
Yes, the creator of the universe came to earth to be the founder of our salvation!
The indescribable love that Jesus had for His creation thrust Him to suffer for our redemption.
He experienced suffering so we could experience glory.
The love the Father and Jesus had for us in our redemption hasn’t changed. He still loves us in our imperfection and weaknesses as much as He did when He died for us
Let’s allow the “founder” of our salvation also be the “finisher” of our salvation.
