With the internet and everything it offers there are so many different revelations shared about Jesus.
When Jesus walked the earth, He made a good point when He said: “Who do you say I am?” Matthew 16:15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
One way to learn who Jesus is, is by hearing others share their revelation of Jesus. Yet somewhere along the way, we need our own revelation of Jesus. How do we receive our own revelation of Jesus? Here is one of the job descriptions Jesus gave to the Holy Spirit. John 16:14 He will glorify me, because He will take what is mine and will make it known to you. (Weymouth)
Our responsibility is to sit under the Word, dig in the Word, study the Word, and meditate on His Word. The Holy Spirit then takes His Word and reveals Him to us through that same Word.
Here are some thoughts about “A revelation of Jesus”:
- Flesh and blood alone isn’t capable of revealing Jesus to us or our loved ones.
- Knowing and understanding Jesus is a supernatural function of the Holy Spirit.
- When we have a supernatural revelation we are blessed. Matthew 16:17 “Blessed
are you, Simon Bar-Jonah,” said Jesus; “for mere human nature has not revealed
this to you, but my Father in Heaven. (Weymouth)
Every blessing to each of you,
