Become A Somebody

We’ve all met someone who would like to be important and be considered a “somebody”. We’ve also heard of people who became a somebody and discovered they were still empty and unfulfilled.

The Word of God is wonderful in that it gives us goals to pursue, and in so pursuing them it results in true fulfillment and fruitfulness.

1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am NOTHING.

1 Corinthians 13:3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain NOTHING.

Here are some thoughts about becoming a somebody:

  • God sees people differently than we do. God sees people’s heart and knows their motives.

  • When we minister, the most important thing to God is that we are motivated by love.

  • When we minister without love, the Lord says we are nothing and we gain nothing.

  • Practically speaking our motives to minister are not to impress people with our knowledge, dynamics, or spiritual superiority.

  • No, our motive to minister is rooted in the love of God which ensures it has God’s touch on it.

Let’s all continue to be motivated by God’s love over all else. We NEVER fail and will produce fruit in the kingdom of God.

Every blessing to each of you,

Tony
