Going into the New Year

Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would be many wonderful things. Amongst those things it was prophesied that Jesus would be the Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NKJV)

  • Merriam Webster’s Dictionary defines prince as: “the ruler of a principality or state”.

  • Since Jesus is called the Prince of Peace, it reveals that His peace can rule in our hearts and lives.

Yes, we do have one responsibility and that is to “let” His peace rule as we read.

Col. 3:15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. (NLT)

Sometimes it is simply necessary to say these things:

  • In the Name of Jesus I rebuke you fear and command you to go now!

  • I yield to and receive the peace that comes from Christ in my heart and life!

  • I speak peace over my mind, body, and home!!

Are there benefits of peace ruling in our hearts? Glad you asked.

Proverbs 14:30 A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones. (NLT)

As we go into this New Year be sure to allow the Prince of Peace to rule in your hearts.

Every blessing to each of you,

Tony
