God is very aware of our time and our quality of life. It’s obvious when we read His Word.
Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching but let your heart keep my commandments,
Proverbs 3:2 for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. (ESV)
God desires us to have long life and peaceful days. Here are some thoughts about days, years, and peace.
The Bible has many scriptures about long life as well as abundant life.
The simple instruction for length of days and peaceful living is given to in the New Testament.
1 Peter 3:10 For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; (ESV)
Ephesians 6:2 “Honour your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise),
Ephesians 6:3 “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” (ESV)
Here is a summary of God’s instruction:

· Keep your lips from speaking deceit
· Honour your mother and father
How easy is that for those of us who are empowered by the Holy Spirit?
