God Knows Your Address

We have perhaps said or heard statements like; “I don’t feel God near me”, or “does He hear me when I talk to Him?”, or “is He leading and guiding me”?

Whether we feel God or not, He is near. Whether He answers us immediately or not, He hears us. God also leads and guides, and He knows how to find us for His assignments.

I like how God found David when it was David’s time.

Psa. 78:70 He chose David his servant and took him from the sheepfolds;

Psa. 78:71 from following the nursing ewes he brought him to shepherd Jacob his people, Israel his inheritance.

Here are some thoughts about God knowing our address:

  • It’s not our concern to alert God of where we are and of what we are doing.

  • God knew exactly where David was and what he was doing.

  • Our part is to put our hand to something and to work.

  • God’s part is to find us and give us assignments when and how He chooses.

  • We have no biblical record of God finding and assigning a person who was laying around and unengaged.

  • Notice how God found David and took him “from” what he was doing, then He “brought” him to his new assignment.

It’s good news to all of us that God personally knows our hearts, where and what we are doing, and He is the one who finds us at the time of His choosing.

What does that mean for us all? Let’s be at peace, keep diligent with what we are doing, and trust God to do His part.

Every blessing to each of you,

Tony
