When someone does a good or bad deed, we don’t always know what the motive was behind that deed.
What motivates “acts” could be known as the person’s “ways”.
Psalm 103:7 He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. (ESV)
Here are some thoughts about His ways and acts:
The people of Israel saw God’s “acts”.
But to Moses, God revealed His “ways”.
Each of us has the privilege to seek an understanding of the ways of God.
Who He is, what He values, what moves Him, what pleases Him, and so on…
Knowing these things about God is what brings us to an understanding of His “ways”.
Seeing His acts is visually astounding, but knowing Him and His ways is internally life changing.
This scripture is an example of a life changing revelation that changes our understanding of God forever.
Malachi 3:6a “For I the LORD do not change…”
Let’s remember that truth sets us free forever, while seeing an act will inspire and excite us for a moment.
The “acts” of God are wonderful as they attract people who don’t know God, knowing the “ways” of God is vital as they bring stability and understanding.
Let’s feed on the His Word for internal growth, and believe for signs and wonders to reach those who don’t know God.
