Meditate = More Insight

Prospective professional people, study and apply themselves while attending college to gain valuable insight. It involves consistently keeping their nose in the books.

Study and meditation in scripture brings valuable insight for Christians the same way, the only difference being, it impacts every area of life.

Psalm 119:99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. (NIV)

Meditating on God’s Word brings insight and truth, which in turn changes the direction of our lives. Undoubtedly, the way we think determines the way we talk, act, and work.

I remember the day when my understanding was enlightened about Jesus and His healing ministry. I heard and studied about it for months.

But it wasn’t until divine revelation came that I “really” understood it.

Here are some further thoughts about meditate = more insight:

  • Insight in the things of God doesn’t automatically come just because we became Christians.

  • Insight doesn’t often come as quickly as we would like, but if we continue to feed and meditate on the Word, our spiritual eyes will be enlightened.

Let’s all pray this regularly for ourselves and for one another.

Ephesians 1:17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. (NLT)

Every blessing to each of you,

Tony
