We’re All Needed

Team sports are fun to watch because it requires a group of people working together. Every person in a team sport is needed to get the victory.

When it comes to the body of Christ the same thing is true. There isn’t anything more beautiful than each part giving their supply. It’s also fun to watch the body function together.

1 Corinthians 12:15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.

1 Corinthians 12:16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. (ESV)

The scripture above stresses everyone is equally a part of the body of Christ.

Here are some thoughts about the above verses:

  • Notice that the foot is more hidden than the hand, and for that reason it declares you’re as much a part as the hand.

  • Notice that the ear isn’t as admired as the eye of a person, and for that reason it declares you’re a much a part as the eye.

  • God values people He places in hidden places equally as those He places in noticeable places.

  • It’s obvious that God cares about the body functioning more than visible or hidden places.

God sent His son to pay a great price for the reconciliation of the world.

Let’s not get caught up in the visible or hidden places He placed us, but instead in the truth we’re all needed to bring in the harvest.

Every blessing to each of you,

Tony
